Recent arrival at the workshop - I collected this en route home from delivering the Jowett Parts stash up to Bradford Luton bodied Transit with a tail lift being my favoured choice of covered transport for rolling bodyshells Just need to get this into the van It's a just fit with the front end up on axle stands to enable the tail lift to close Took at bit of doing but we managed and the vehicle was safely unloaded back at the workshop Fairly solid bodyshell but has obviously has had a life - it's a RR car too of peteh1969 who has been patiently awaiting an available workshop slot for the work to be undertaken - he has stripped the car back to a rolling shell with a dummy front axle fitted to allow full access to the inner front wings / engine bay etc First job was to carefully store all the loose parts that I need during the restoration for checking aperture & trim fit - nothing worse than assuming all trim parts will fit after fitting a panel and painting it only to find that said trim misfits or at worse damages the new paint All boxed up - fortunately I have proper storage space in the garage loft - I will take some detailed pics today and update the thread as the work progresses

Will be following this with interest. I've just finished a 3 year stint of welding my mk2 Cortina GT. It is virtually identical to one of these underneath. Mines now gone to the painters, but you'll probably weld and paint this by the time I get mine back.

Have had a couple of these in the past (V4 1.7) one in Seafoam Blue, the other in Fern Green metallic. Will be watching your progress.

Yes panels are very expensive now for the Corsairs. I was extremely lucky when I bought mine, as I got two wings two 2 doors and a front valence all for a grand about 5 years ago. Sourced them all in Ireland at the time, but the seller brought them to the mainland for me as well. I did have to buy more panels from expressed so I reckon I spent in the region of £1800 on panels alone. I reckon the same list of panels now you would be touching nearly 3k. As she was under resto, and you may recognise the front dolly: This is mine as she is now:

Yes it is a more modern engine, but on "retro fueling" rather than injection.

Have to say when i saw your earlier pics of the strut tops. I guessed what was underneath. Been there done that, well my welder guy has lol !!

All looking very familiar to my mk2. I repaired all mine in sections (read patchwork quilt) but if I was paying someone else to do the work it probably would have been more economic sense to buy the full length strut top repair panels.
