i was rather hoping the large steels were gong back on.. i have a suspicion that options are being kept open though! The 16"'s will be the standard everyday use wheels. Before Lowering only 1"
These two after Lowering
Hi Peter. Where are those steels from? Are they an after market wheel or off another more modern car? Cheers, Martin.

More temptation, but at least reasonably priced temptation!

How can you get tyres fitted the next day? I know you have heat panels for drying the paint but how do you get it hard enough that fast to sustain the impact of tyre fitting? Mark - Use of a accelerator for the paint - still use the hardener with the paint but then add a splash of this I would not use it for a complete paint job but on a few panels / parts where time or the fact that you need to handle the painted parts is critical then this is the answer - the guys in the smart repair business are getting 2 pack lacquer curing times down to minutes with the use of this - its more commonly known has 'Rocket' in the trade Ah!, Thanks Chris. I had heard of it but I've never used it. Think I will from now on though, it would have been ideal for my fuel tank. Can you use it with epoxy primer as well?

Chris does hot weather help or hinder when applying Dintrol protection products?
Also do you have to be quick off the mark with cleaning your gun out after using the Rocket product in the "P paint, to prevent damage?

Common myth about paint setting inside guns with 2K paints.
Gunwash will take cured paint out of a gun without issues as long as its not too old. Meticulously cleaning the gun after spraying is part of spraying - I think the myth has come from lazy people who paint and leave the gun for a few day and only think of cleaning it when they want to use it next time.

I know that they are slightly different animals Mark but I have wrecked a couple of Air Brushes when using 2P acid etch primer on brass Model Rail engines through thinking I had more time than I did before the primer started to go off which is why I asked the question?

Can't answer that one properly Pete - Ive never managed to get 2K through my airbrush (paint is too thick) but a good soak in gunwash should still clean them ok? Especially if you can strip them down.

I got the residual primer out of the airbrushes but they were no use for paint any more, had to buy new ones. This is what I was building and painting 4mm = 1' 1:76th scale. I designed and built 6 models kits for my customer as a full commission.
The first of 6 models finished.

That's some effort. Incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship - Answers a question I had regarding the 3D work that you posted up when I was scrabbling around in the dark trying to draw a few bits of tube in 2D. All that brass sheet and solder work they must end up almost scale weight as well by the time you have finished. Is the brass work still etched or is it laser cut these days
You and GN certainly know how to set a bar.

Did you ever get anything from the trimmers? An apology even? Corsairs looking great! Apologies for the slow reply - absolutely nothing in fact they did not even acknowledge or reply to my last e mail - so they are obviously not bothered - I have better things to do but I will ensure that they get listed to every consumer review website that I can find & obviously anyone that reads this thread will also be aware that a certain 'ALDRIDGE TRIMMING' retail products that are poor quality and not fit for purpose - they are alternative suppliers out there so if anyone gets stuck just send me a PM and I can advise

The sheet parts you see in the pictures are brass and nickle silver plate in thicknesses from .15mm to .3mm thickness all produced through a chemical etching process, the seats and other parts that have to be of a 3D nature were 3D CAD modeled then a wax master 3D printed and cast in high detail solid silver.

Amazing attention to detail and quality work on those models Pete!! The Corsair is also a work of art and someone who does the modeltrains so well, does like the attention to detail on the car also so Chris your work will be rewarded Peter

Wow those models are amazing!! My dad was quite heavily into his trains and moddeling, he was good and once did a brass kit similer to that but just a small wagon. I can remember the 'fun' (I use the term loosely) he had putting it together, but it was nothing compared to that!
Nice car too, a really clean quality build.

Bloody hell Pete, those trains are bonkers! Gobsmacked at the detail, I'd never have the patience - and I'm a patient bloke!

Pete, beautiful work on the track machines!
Do you work in standard OO, or EM?
GN, how do you touch in the bolt heads? With a brush, or mask and spray?
I’m in the midst of rebuilding the driveline components from the Herald in my avatar, therefore keen to understand how to protect the bolts post figment.
