All will be revealed. Need to make something to hold the new windscreen pillar without squashing it ,when I cut it to length

All will be revealed. Need to make something to hold the new windscreen pillar without squashing it ,when I cut it to length See, us mere mortals would mark it with a pen, then hold it with one hand on a sawhorse, whilst wielding an angle grinder fitted with a 1mm disc in the other... I imagine your method is going to involve lasers, CNC and exactness?

My worst worry about dying is my wife selling my stuff for what I told her it cost...

I find my accuracy improves if I stick my tongue out and squint a bit. 😂
Are you going to need oversize glass?

My cunning plan involves lowering the floor, not raising the roof. So glass all stays the same 😊

Looking at a racing Ape I see they fit heavy duty casters on the front corners - are you doing the same?

Looking at a racing Ape I see they fit heavy duty casters on the front corners - are you doing the same? You been looking at that dreamers one on the bay of flea? 😂😂 No plans for castors but will have to see. Think the extra weight ,lower c of g and wider rear track should help

Result at the boot fair. Had been looking for a small digital scale to measure out the epoxy and hardener to mold this No luck on getting one up to 5kgs, but this one up to 200g is perfect for the hardener So conventional scale, digital scale and a craft knife for £2.50 wasn't bad 😊 No, I don't drink shots with clinical precision,it's hardener for the epoxy 😂😂 Mixed and poured Left to dry, will check up tonight. It may seem a lot of work just to clamp something, but I haven't been 100% forthcoming with this. Yes it is to clamp it,but it will also serve another purpose. I have never used this metal filled epoxy. I have heard good things about it. Once I have used it to hold the bits I need to cut,I want to subject it to a couple of durability tests. I am hoping it will hold up to what I subject it to,as I think it could be very useful for a problem I have with one panel on my Rx2... The stuff is fairly expensive , so before I shell out £500 on a large quantity,I wanted to see if it will work. It does shrink abit, about 1-2% when cured. Again ,a reason to have a bit of a play...

I scanned three original links, merged the three to get a good 3d model. Scaled it to allow for material shrinkage, had patterns made for the sandcores, and had 260 links cast. Made the pins too. Really happy with the results,as is my customer 😊 Outstanding! So are these now better than OEM would you say?

I have seen replica track made before, but people take shortcuts. These have all the undercuts and features of the originals. If you were to find the original ice cleats, these would clip into this track. Bearing in mind that the original track was manufactured 70 odd years ago,a lot has happened meturlugically since then,so these will be of a much better quality steel. Also don't forget these were made during very harrowing times and steel was a commodity in short supply, not to be wasted. The quality of certain steel used in those days was dubious to say the least, but it was a case of using what you had.
