Back again with another micra.......k11 this time, and giving a n/a build a try👍
Here’s the car as it is now, on chopped springs and bmw/mini alloys with some better fitting tyres
I’ve totally built the engine from the ground up, rebored it to take corsa pistons too, cga3 crank, skimmed the head, decked the block, new chain, bearing etc blah blah
Comp ratio is 12:1 👍
Had a thought in my head for a while about using some variable length runners on a set of itbs, long for low rev, short at high, meant to improve the torque curve......was gunna make a set, but then come across these from a Yamaha r6
So bought a set for £70 from eBay
Sent them to bogg bros, along with the micra injector flange, to make a manifold for me, they always do great work
For the exhaust, I’ve used a eBay 106 manifold, the port spacing was almost bang on, just weld it to a micra flange
Purchased a lightened cg10 flywheel from a msc member (frank)
Cams reground
Here it is all mounted
First start.........it ran, but beings it’s on the micra ecu, which uses a maf.......wouldn’t drive lol
So....needs a new ecu,
Beings the micra/mini joint project has ground to a hault....I borrowed the ecu so I could make up the loom, and get this going, as this project is more likely to be road worthy
(I will finish the mini one day 🤔)
Wired up and.......
It idles shift, but does rev now
Took it for a drive and will only work if you boot it 😂, shifts though 😮
Need to sort the maps out and it’ll be awesome!
