I do love an early 924. I take it this is a 4 speed.
I don't mean to be that guy but I'd return the Intermotor parts ; IME they are curse word and I've had a few 'incurable' issues due to fitting parts from them in the past including a VW Beetle breaking down on a blink bend of London Road in Coventry during rush hour; that was not fun! I'd go genuine Bosch on the points and the coil (I'd get an old working one here). Yes they are pricey but at least you can eliminate a troubleshooting area.
