Best put a top up gallon in then ! Sounds like you were having fun... How wide does it feel compared to modern stuff? James Its about a wide as a mondeo but with slower manual steering so junctions and tight gaps need some judgement. A left hooker too, so its just a matter of getting used to it.

Then a short jaunt to my local garage for some tracking...but that failed as the falcon was too big for the tracking plates on the ramp.

Really enjoyed watching this evolve.
Falcons are a nice size for a yank in this country I think, not so large as it can't get around easily.

We popped up to the Sunday Scramble today and had a look at this, do like it It is a nice size... was expecting it to be bigger (like the Pontiac Bonneville that we also saw!)

We popped up to the Sunday Scramble today and had a look at this, do like it It is a nice size... was expecting it to be bigger (like the Pontiac Bonneville that we also saw!) They are classed as small cars for that era. Same width as a classic range rover and about the same length as a Jag XJ6

So early sunday morning, I met up with ChasR of this parish at the local cheap petroleum shop to fuel up prior to a gentle* jaunt from Warwick to Bicester. We cruised down the m40 at an easy 60-65mph and all was well. 2 mins from the bicester heritage gate Chas pulled over to highlight the #roadkill style plumes of smoke coming from the off side rear tyre. Swiftly parked up in the show and discovered a blown half shaft seal which puked axle oil on the rear wheel. The easy option was to call the AA and get a lowloader back home to save the axle. The bonus ball was no drive home so a few refreshing beverages from the Wriggly Monkey brewery onsite at Bicester Heritage. *Chas advised later we made "good progress" above 65mph.....ahem.....

Looking at your various photos of your halfshaft, especially the first, are you sure it is not bent?
