Someone had suggested I could sell my reg plate (SLK 531L) potentially to a Mercedes SLK owner. I'm not attached to the reg, yet, and if it means a bit of extra cash to put back into the car, then all good.
Anyone else done this? Did you use a specific company/site to do this? Any info appreciated!

New reg or reg transfers are two of the bigger firms. They will not buy it from you unless it's a mega plate. You can get a valuation on line. They will advertise the plate for you and take a cut. If they say they can get you say £300 for it you will probably be on their site for about a grand. You won't sell it over night, at one time it was big business but seems to of slowed down.

Thanks for those. Got offered 500 on a couple of sites and 600 on another. Might just get a new reg for the car and keep the SLK on a cert on the backburner. |

I sold a couple in the past privately. Sack the big firms off, stick it on forums, or Ebay if you need a swift sale.
