As above, looking for a garage or covered work/storage space where I can store my Hillman and work on it! Council garage is leading me nowhere fast and everything else is eleventy billion pounds for a square foot of space.
Happy to share, contribute, pay, work on stuff (I'm in IT as a job so I can fix your PC's and things too...)
Anywhere in Kent considered!

hi all, what kind of budget have you all got? my landlord has a unit next to mine ( i do bodywork) available at the end of the month, approx 1700sq ft. near pluckley. no rates, approx £800 a month plus elec. 24/7 access, brick built, insulated, personal door and roller shutter, approx 4m high at peak. any good?

Pluckley's a bit far out for me unfortunately, but sounds fairly reasonable!

Pluckley isn't too bad for me. I couldn't spare more than £70 - 100 a month at the very most so I could go in for that much but that's 1/8th of the required cost! Shame. - thank you though gkdsp |

To be fair, that space is way more than you need for 8 vehicles, so if you can get enough people you trust involved then you're onto a winner.
I've been trying to set something like this up around Canterbury but I haven't managed to find a space that allows you to work on vehicles or allows you to turn up out of business hours.

I've been looking for a while but am nearer Tonbridge than Ashford. Pluckley would be a bit of a trek sadly.
Found a couple of places near to Tunbridge Wells if of interest to anyone?

That would have been great for me a few years ago, lived there for 20+ years. My dad might be interested for his retros if it's cheap enough - always a problem around Tunbridge Wells

I've been looking for a few places but I'm finding a lot of them are set up as commercial properties so you'd be stuck paying business rates as well as rent and insurance which is a complete killer to the plan. If anyone knows any friendly farmers with a barn they're not using then that'd be perfect!

I'm in Ashford, work in Aylesford. Was previously looking for somewhere with no luck. Have a mate based in Medway thats also interested. Also know somoene in ashford who is a mechanic thats finding it hard to get somewhere.
Seen some great little units but most don't want private or anything motor related.
Between us weve got plenty of tools, 2 welders, engien crane, stand etc.
I'm rebilding an engine swapped Ka and my buddy is sorting ot a mk2 golf atm.
You all still looking?
