These racing cars remind me of an old Donald duck cartoon where he raced in something similar, Always thought they were made up, but now I see, both chassi, the lack of safety and the type of engine was more or less correct :-)
This flexi band spring setup on the gray car, was that common or some bacyard engineering? I see how it will keep the car suspended, but it seems a bit unsafe. What happens if one of the plastic stris brake?

So that it's for another year - Revival is not for everyone and has good has it is there are people that don't like it, think that it's too expensive to attend, brand it has elitist, don't like the fact that it attracts the monied type, its too big & busy etc - However the fact remains that Revival is both world class and in a unique league when it comes to turning historic racing into a time warp event - the atmosphere is unrivalled at any other event regardless of location in the world - it consistently attracts a world audience whom are very happy to attend and watch / soak up a outstanding & fabulous event of which the vast majority return home wearing huge grins and many happy memories - only to start striking the days of the calendar in anticipation of the following years Revival

Thank you for sharing your photos of this unique event, I wonder if the Bristol bus was an ex Crossville Motor Services Ltd Bus,of Chester, Chester registration FM, this was the main bus company throughout the North wales and Chester areas for decades prior to being taken over by ARRIVA.
