I originally bought this car as a non-runner about a year ago, as a possible second car/project to do something with, unfortunately since then I've ended up moving and therefore had little time/space/money to do anything with it. When I bought the car it was lowered on shorter springs, with different wheels, this has all been swapped for standard suspension and a set of 5 Ghia alloys (unfortunately not a full set of center caps)
To get it through an MOT I've had to give the rear brakes some attention, including brand new cylinders and shoes
In terms of bodywork, overall it's pretty good, not perfect by any means but I've definitely seen worse. The front panel is bubbling a bit, and there's 3 advisories on non-structural welding on the MOT (small hole in the drivers floor, and one in either lower a post) Looks like it's had a fairly fresh respray, not perfect quality but it comes up well with a polish. No rot in the inner wings, boot is okay, back ends of the sills have been done.
Interior is absolute pov spec, no radio, no side vents in the dash, foot pump washers, no headrests, beige cloth. Some wear on the drivers seat bolster and a tear in the stitching, cigarette burn on the drivers side of the rear seat. Dash is good condition with no cracks, steering wheel is slightly sun damaged.
Mechanically it seems pretty good, very quiet engine, samco rad hoses, no suspension knocks/squeaks/rattles. Bit of noise from the release bearing, but I don't think I've heard one that doesn't.
Few photos for now, more will be taken. Interior/under bonnet/boot etc.
So in short
Good
-46,000 miles
-Quiet engine
-Fresh MOT
-Freshly rebuilt rear brakes
-Sills have already been replaced
Bad
-Small bit of welding required as/when necessary
-2 chips in the windscreen
-Wear on the drivers seat
-Slight noise from the release bearing
All in all I'd say it's a pretty decent first car, rolling resto, or general project for someone. Will put some fresh plates on it, whoever owned it before decided to silicone some black/silver plates over what was already there.
Looking for somewhere around £2000 for it, seen higher mileage/non-MOT'd ones asking similar money.
Located in Edenbridge, Kent.
