Hi All, Here are some (car) photos I took recently on holiday in Japan, enjoy Firstly, here are some pics of Toyota MEGAWEB, which is a kind of theme park sort of thing for (mostly) Toyota cars. Kind of like VW's AutoStadt in Wolfsburg if you've been there, and indeed it had a German themed Nurburgring cafe there where you could get food in the shape of cars, the 'Ring track outline and all kinds of stuff It's on an island off the South East coast of Tokyo accessible by train. In the main area we saw lots of concept cars, racing cars, Toyota Racing Developments parts you can get for your GT86 and various interactive displays. (I imagined the rental Vitz I'd booked would be like this one above. It wasn't). This was a weird concept car, I quite liked it, transparent floor and all, kind of like a hot rod style. I liked it. Got more pics from different angles if anyone wants to see more? I loved this, but then I do like caravans... Then, over the road to the 'history garage' which was oddly located inside a shopping mall? Loads of nice stuff retro in here, but here's a selection of my favourites. Yummy! Loved the wide arches on this one TA27 There was quite a large reference book and toy car display area too... Mazda Cosmo Non Japanese section

I'll see if I've got any more car related pics amongst the usual holiday pics when sorting through and add any I find. Japan was brilliant, loved it

Awesome pics, one of my earliest car memories is watching Car Wars on VHS, and Carlos Saintz absolutely annihilating that shape Celica rolling it about 8 times in a left hand bend.

Too cool! That Mobilgas Australia Trial Datsun certainly got in a few scrapes! Also love that relatively modern/retro concept car/caravan combo.

Excellent stuff. Especially the Cosmo riding on SSRs (or whatever they are). Superb!

More details on their website here: maricar.comIf you call or email to book don't worry, they speak / write good English. We did the 3 hour night tour including the Rainbow Bridge, dressed as Mario and Luigi. Lots of good info in their TripAdvisor reviews too.

I saw the mario karts as well. If I ever make it back, I'll go on them. Stu I'm guessing you went about 2 weeks after me. The sakura hadn't started blooming in Tokyo by the time we left.

Stu I'm guessing you went about 2 weeks after me. The sakura hadn't started blooming in Tokyo by the time we left. We were there for the last week of March & first week of April. Our trip started and ended in Tokyo and took us to Kyoto, Takayama and Nagano areas in between. Quite varied and we saw the blossom starting further south mid trip then blooming nicely in Tokyo on our return. I've got loads of non car related pics too but haven't posted them here.

Not a single image visible to me, photobucket again Pics show fine on normal RR site for me (via MacBook with Safari browser), but not on my iPhone when i just checked. I think it's related to the forum having a Photobucket fix for the desktop site? I'll re-host them on FlickR instead when I get time.
