I get that they can produce silly numbers, but you can't escape that youre putting near half a ton of iron in the nose instead of 200 kilos of 2j!
if it had to be diesel I'd be going Om6**, but its not my project so crack on!

OM606's can sound good, but a well tuned Cummins makes my spine tingle. Go the whole hog and put a jake-brake* on it for the full auditory experience!
*Disclaimer - I get the feeling that an exhaust brake would be bad news for drifting, especially in something so light. Eating your steering wheel every time you lift off probably won't help smooth drifts. It'd sound pretty special though

whitz it is all about having the motor wedged in the bay! Even better if it hangs out the sides and sticks out the top!

Would need it on a lever or something so it only engages when you want it to.

Discs on the wrong way, as in the grooves facing wrong? Would it really make a difference though?

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

daft question, but what would the diesel engine had been standard in? lots of stuff, typically Commercial, 7.5 ton Dafs I think would be the most common use in the uk, Dodge full size pickups, buses, agricultural equipment, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cummins_B_Series_engine

Not much progress has been made as show season is in full swing, having a fair few issues, brake servo not fitting needing to be "frabricobbled" to fit, engine is yet to be delivered as theres a slight issue with it where the head has got to be whipped off After 4 months the custom extreme offset wheels turned up, shame they turned up damaged as they came though the box's and knackered the powdercoat still yet t obe fixed as there basically slow rolling me as i want them re powdercoat (seems fair right?) having lots of issues with paint, roof all flaked off and parts all over reacting, i suspect it might of has paint stripped over it at one point with issues with paint and wheels i hit the "curse word it" stage and made a roof rack up and bolted it straight into the rood and ordered 285 60 18 rear tyres, so its now getting lifted suspension and a madmax stlying so watch this space Ash

I'm still looking forward to seeing it come to life either way!
