Man that Lada's cool love the ZT as well Have you checked the brake servo for leaks? My MGF had a mysterious loss of brake fluid that was from a seal that leaked into the chamber in the brake servo and only made itself known when it was full enough to drip out of the vacuum line fitting.

Just doing those little time consuming detail jobbies, part way through bending a focus handbrake cable mount into a bracket to hold the oil feed line closer to the turbo so it wont rub on the bonnet plate, wire so any vibrations and thermal expansion wont be an issue either in place using the back end of the T clamp bolt bonnet prepped and painted not a job i was looking forward too, diff changed along with oil, gearbox oil and touching up some paint on parts 3.56:1 out 2/54:1 in one of the new sparco seats and harness in, only just in place touches the roll cage, door and top pillar on just tho, driver seat will need custom brackets mirrors coated and in place, passenger side is pretty useless and just there for legality but sides, interior and reverse camera should give me some help bonnet in place without the plate plate in place, used black semi large washered rivets like the mirrors to keep in with the ethos not far off now, wish me luck talking to the insurance companies Ash

90% of the car was drawn up like this and a bunch of other ones, scott made me up a fuel tank cover spacer this will do perfectly, coated and avdoweled after pic numberplate holder that bolts in to the grill and can be flipped out of view at shows or with enough wind at speed needed some studded m12 bolts that i didnt have so made some, drilled a hole in head and pressed some m6 bolts in on the reverse abover bolt and a little L bracket to hold the edge of the arch in place, not perfect or ideal but it will do archs not bolted in place here but a wider view pic with all the bonnet on and mirrors etc, need to make a cooling plate under the bonnet that also pushes the top edge of the bumper up as the bonnet has wacked it and taken paint off Ash

wish me luck talking to the insurance companies Ash Please record some of these calls! Can't wait to see this on the road. Ash: Hi there I'd like a quote for a modified Toyota Supra please Insurance agent: I'm sure we can help sir, are we talking about bigger turbo, lowered on coilovers remapped sort of thing ? Ash: Well the turbo's bigger.... Hope the conversation isn't too painful, will you get it in for an MOT to tick the box of somebody else checking the mods are safe ? Thanks for sharing the journey, kind of got used to the thought of it now but it is completely batshit mental. James

Classicline will insure it without issues. Also Brentacre. The only thing that spoils it for me is the box on the bonnet, you have done everything else to flow nicely, but that just looks boxy - sorry for the negative If you did the box part again with more flowing edges it would make a big visual difference. PS, you don't need a passenger mirror to be legal as long as you have a rearview mirror inside.

This is the complete opposite of anything I would build, so I really shouldn't like it. But it's great! Hope I get a chance to see it in the metal at some stage.

Sometimes, others may not understand why you like a car so much. Sometimes, you may not even understand why you like a car so much. But none of that matters; all that matters is that you like the car, and having it makes you happy.

Supra looks magnificent. I particularly like the door mirror support brackets. They should offer a reasonable level of protection against damage from errant tree branches etc. Have you considered doing something similar to protect the headlights and front end? How did you get on with the insurance people? Hope you're not driving around dodgy. Also keen to read more about the Lada.

As with flux with most cars just tell them whats on there and they will cover it all, not too unreasonably prices either £700 for the year fully declared How does it go? Has the gearing worked out ok etc. Looks the business all clean but need to see it covered in mud ! James go pretty well, gearing is good, turbo (no surprise) is abit laggy in the lower gears but will hit wastegate pressure 1.5bar fine in 3-4-5th, speed wise, tested on a private course she did 133mph with ease before i let off as thats about the speed limit on the tyres Love it! Apologies if I've missed it but is the 6bt standard or if not what's the specs? I want to see this going up the hill at next year's gathering! 250hp/620ft lbs stock engine, larger injectors, HX40W turbo, ats bigfoot manifold, 3" turbo back exhaust, 4" intercooler and 3" intercooler piping with dual hole inlet plate, fluidampr front pulley and arp bolts, timing bumped, rebuilt pump, still yet to fit AFC controller and bigger delivery vavles i don't know if i will have it by then as i might look into selling it into the newyear after some more testing as I'm paying alot of money out on cars that I'm not even using some pics Was inside on trade stands at the japanese performance show in my local town A picture circa 2009 of when the car was first imported to the UK if leant on can make her roll coal she also does tow pretty well Lada updatees whipped off all the front panels for inspection or what more i need to buy etc front rad panel fits like rubbish but also need to buy new front wings, rad cowling, rear quarter panels and valance for a start i have most of the awd parts now, i still need to get engine mounts and driveshafts (easy to get new), gearbox is now in a container on its way over from America but my biggest head scratch atm is a RHD awd steering rack, i have an X3 one that il proabably have to make new mounts on the subframe as a high shaft angle front bolt hole mounted rack unlike 98% of all bmw racks also very tempted to do a 2 door conversion as ive got to repanel the whole car currently anyway Ash
