Hi guys, I'd like to get back to the Pod and try to beat my best 1/4 mile time. I lost a lot of time in my launches last year, so I'm after some sort of LSD. I have a welded diff on the shelf but I'm reluctant to use it due to possibility of it giving way and shoving me off the track if it does. Aside from the fact I don't want the negatives that come with welders. 10inch wide rear tyres and a welder are a recipe for half shaft explosions!
2.8 special LSD is out the the window as people want 600 quid for a 30 year old lsd with 150k on.
Budget is relatively low.. and so is time to work on it, so it needs to be relatively 'bolt-on' rather than major mechanical surgery such as an axle swap.
Does anyone have any good ideas? I currently run a standard 1.6 Laser open diff and I just couldn't get the power down in 1st off the line. Engine and box are Nissan 200sx at running approx 280bhp
