I spent mine servicing the Mazda, going for an MOT for same, fixing a computer for a mate and self-assembling a new waredrobe in the attic to replace the self-assembly one which self-disassembled itself with no hope of self re-assembly by me.
So it would be nice to read all about the sucess out there in Retoland of you guys and your projects, or just the blitzing of backroads undertaken in fine old modded motors...

I've been porting a cylinder head this weekend. Started it ages ago but i'm just finishing it off now, really pleased with it as it's the first one i've done! Also went down to the scrapyard to scavenge for parts, but came away fairly empty handed. Today has been a little more productive though, i've cut out the drivers side rear suspension turret and started cleaning up and cutting to size the inner wing ready to fit in the new hole on the twin engined Escort project. The only thing stopping me from getting further today is a lack of steel box section and a borked welder that needs repairing

Rain stopped me doing anything outside on Sunday... so I spent the day on eBay. Somehow managed to end up with an E30... Hehe... not for me though. For my brother (soon to be joining the RR family).

Remember my Metro plans? Didn't even touch the car. Boring house stuff on Saturday, out at a car event yesterday. Oh well!
My only Retro action was washing the 2CV and Honda on Saturday - was getting hard to see out of the windows on the Honda so thought it was about time!

Went to look at a '94 Mustang. It was not as good to drive as I expected. I'm hoping it was just the auto box being lame and keeping an eye out for manual ones coming into the docks from japan.

Watched 4x4s slipping about in the mud and played with a couple of digital dashs (retro-tastic Astra GTE and our Dakota set), managed to fry the speed sensor for the GTE dash

Yes, I cheated by taking an extra few days off, but i'm fully (almost) motivated to get progress at rean towers. Got some ikea furnature to streamline the office/parts dump area action. refurbed a chair too. And gave the conveyor belt of infinate projects a kick up the RS, by fixing and cleaning the MR2 retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=1145816129&page=3Sadly the Sierra is now covered in curse word in the garage plus I need to drop off and pick up a load of bits this week from all over, so thets two more jobs to sort, again!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I was tea-lady while Sniper managed to get the Super Snipe running again after him & his brother built the engine. It blew the big end on the way home from the NSRA show at Billing back in June.
It lives and sounds awsome!!!!!!
Well done dear.

I did'nt do much :/ Worked on Saturday & Sunday. I spent £40 odd quid on some cleaning stuff for the Metro and then it started raining, so heritage kicked in and she cut out. Then the battery warning light comes on. Damn!

Wanged it back from Southend on Friday night after spending the afternoon in Nightmares central talking Mk3 'Tina vans... Breaking my record time back to Somerset in the Volvo. Then straight down to the 'On the Beach' show in Paignton for some VW and lo-lo based action.
All in all, a cracking weekend. ;D

I'm hoping it was just the auto box being lame and keeping an eye out for manual ones coming into the docks from japan. 80's & 90's Chevy's that were exported to Japan we're even more strangled than home market cars. I would assume that fords are the same. Maybe somethiong to investigate further?
