Hi! I have a date for the TÜV inspection on monday! Last small things do do....the reflectors are a must at the TÜV!  Cut a piece of old blue carpet for the boot....and renew some doorseals....  Rubber mats for the rear footwell....  ....and assemble some basic tools for the tool kit....  Cheers |

blimey , those reflectors look like they might fall off reeeealy easily! sure you will walk the test...or walk home from the test!;-)

That rear bumper has a very large flat space on it that looks like it would take a license plate..
Did these make it overseas somewhere and end up with a door with no plate recess in it?

It also looks about the right size and shape for a spare wheel hatch/cover like cars in the olden days had... but that's not right either because you can see it sat in the back there.

That's one nice looking car you've got there. And the plates..... Road rules and legislation is almost nowhere the kindest or nicest way to "show" things. Nothing to do about that.
How are your experienxes with Owatrol so far? Does the oil "crack", or gettin yellower by the the time?
I'm looking for some layer to protect the mighty word "Patina" on my Fiat, but there are so much different stoies on the Www.

Till summer 54' the licence plate was on the bumper and the taillights ,too.  For 1955 the plate and the lights went on the tailgate.And the bumper changes to 1 piece.  I have the typ between.....the old bumper and the new tailgate!Rare....only 3 months build  |

I have good experience with Owatrol.Done it on my Volvo 3 years ago....still not cracked or getting yellow. It's important to apply it only very thin with a cotton cloth....than it will not get yellow. Only my experience..... |

Thanks for the reply, The more experiences the better. Seen more car-geeks who have done it the same way as you, keep it thin in combination with cotton. And they have good results too. Maybe the guys who are complaining about Owatrol are using a layer that is too thick.
Again thanks, keep up the good work, i'm going to order some Owatrol haha

Guten Tag! It went very well at the TÜV inspection!  The inspector was really impressed about the underbody and all the shiney parts.... Here they are.....!  Don't ask about the money i have to spend for....  Next step :Register the car in another county.After that i can register it over here without problems.Crazy rules sometimes.....! The trip was the first "Autobahn" test,too!280km....No problems reported....and it's very good on fuel!only 8 liters/100km! The only annoying thing:The roof rack makes a lot of wind noise  At home it get's the yellow headlights-bulbs back!  Thanks for looking! Cheers |

First my mate from Baden Würtemberg gets the papers.I don't know how long he needs to register the car overthere. Hope i get back the lot in 2 weeks.... If it needs more time.....no problem.Have to prepare the mighty Volvo and the Puck for a big roadtrip to Sweden at the end of may.... ;)Adventure ahead!Maybe a roadtrip report....? Greet |
