it been a couple of months since i bought the led headlights but i put them to one side as i knew it wont be a easy job fitting them but i have now started work headlight bezels need the hole enlarging to fit the slightly bigger light i need to make totally new headlight mountings because i can no longer mount them on the plastic bezels as in previous posts due to the extra weight of new lights i don't think the clear plastic lenses will look right, too modern and will look out of place, so i bought some new Unipart headlights so i can use the glass lens i have had to modify the led light for the glass lens to fit but i think it looks much better than the clear lenses after the headlights are fitted i have a autoplas rear louvre to fit on rear window which i will make quick release so i can choose to have it on or off also got some new front discs and pads to fit

Thanks confusedbear been working on the headlights for a month now, its been a time consuming job getting the headlights lined up in the right position made harder by the limited space i have to work with, they only just fit new adjustable headlight mounts have been made headlight mounts are now finished, just got the bezels to finish off headlight bezels are being modified to accept the bigger lights, hole has been enlarged and lip has had to re remade while the front is stripped I'm going to repaint the engine bay with another coat of raptor, also paint the cam cover and inlet and re wrap/tidy the wiring loom

Auto-Plas rear louvre fitted custom made steel mounting brackets, quick release so easily removed louvre plastic was faded so its been painted so i don't have to keep applying trim gel two pack plastic primed, painted black and matt lacquered mg spoiler repositioned and modified to allow the louvre to fit the top of the louvre tucks under the spoiler so top brackets are not needed

I've never seen a metro I wanted (other than the old mg I stole the engine from for mmy mini years ago). But I love this. It's brilliant!
Bookmarked!

mat88 Thanks for comment mike satur mgf fcc coilover conversion kit fitted two rear mgf units fitted to the metro front these are made for mgf but fitting to a metro is possible as the k series metro and mgf share the same subframe with a few minor differences fitting this kit was straightforward but i modified the top arms to give me extra camber adjustment my old hydragas setup, individualised valves, gaz adjustable shocks new mike satur coilover conversion kit painted with aerosol stonechip before fitting old suspension removed and subframe area cleaned to remove all the old grease from top arm new ball joints fitted porta power used to give clearance for the new turret, only needed a extra 5 to 10mm

I love the little details on this, I would never have guessed it started out as a too modern looking imho mk3 if I hadn’t gone back to the first page.
Hopefully I’ll get chance to read through from start to finish.
I think I’d missed the thread completely although I recognise your twin aerials so maybe that photo was in another thread.
