Breaking bad: best series ever ( my favorite used to be the sopranos until bb was released),trust me. Saw a kettcar at your bootfair? Want one badly. Have an awesome time in the USA and report back to us RRders. They are regulars, well at least every second weekend one could see one..... Prices range between Β£10.00 and stupid. How badly, what model and condition? Bootfairs are now over but you never know.

I would like to find one like the one i had as a kid. It was a yellow one, bought by dad in 1976,cheqer ( white and black squares) seat, red tailpipes,up front a plate which said kettcar by kettler...i have found the exact type on a german site,i will look at it again and tell you the exact type, and show a picture. There was one here at the bootfair last year, but i only had 20 euro on me. Guy wanted 50 euro, and in the time i went to the bank and got back in maybe 15 minutes,he had sold it. Since then didn't come across a single one. Old one i mean.

Here is one I did years ago. forum.retro-rides.org/thread/112871/kettler-pedal-kart-resto-riderNot original but therapeutic

The first photo in that thread, the black-red one, that is it! Only mine was yellow, where that one was red. The tailpipes were only plastic add-ons. The seat was a cheqer cushion that can easily be replicated. According to that german site, they are not rare, made by the tenthousands. I have a picture of that one at the bootfair on my old laptop, will look for it when i have some time one of these days. Have started my own business recently,Coolmotors, searching and selling retro cars (and scooters) with extremely low mileage, kind of the stuff KGF does, albeit not that expensive cars. Sold(and delivered today) a Fiesta mk2 with 20000 miles, collecting a Renault 21 from 1985 tomorrow. Will start a thread i think.

For those who virtually know Marmaduke Frootloops. The time came at 17 years old tonight. Harley will miss him for sure.

17 is a good innings, and from reading your threads on here, they sounded like the best years a cat could have with you as his cat-dad. May he carry on in the land of eternal catnip.

I suspect chasing butterflies in a meadow. 17 is a good innings, and from reading your threads on here, they sounded like the best years a cat could have with you as his cat-dad. May he carry on in the land of eternal catnip. I would hope that he and Harley never wanted for anything. Catnip.... his Krypton for sure. These animals are all there to make our lives better. So the least we can do is be nice. Even Harley was nice to him before Nicola took him away to the vets. She wrote him a nice obituary as she got him as a foster kitten that would not let her let him go.

Thoughts with you Grizzly. Animals are up there with cars in terms of things I breathe.
It's 15 months since I had to put our shiba inu down, I'm still gutted about that.
The cancer riddled house rabbit 7 months prior reduced me to tears.
Doesn't matter what breed/species, they're in your life.
Thoughts with you.

Really truly sorry to hear this news Rian, I know how devastating it is to lose a "pet" (I say pet but to us they're one of the family !!) Nigel

You have my sympathy...It's always too soon.
But he had your love (even that of this community) and that is more than many an animal has ever had.

so long good ole companion....sorry to hear the news, Grizz... glad he had a good run in a great home! JP Thank you JP. Yes, it hurts, mainly because we all humanise our pets and bring them into our personal emotional space. Cats likeDukey, considering he was technically a rescue are always special. And when he came back from Nicolaβs place, he had come to his happy place, so happy I was there for him. You got it exactly as I see it. Animals possibly even trump cars. My thoughts are with you and Harley right now. Will miss greatly the antics of such a beautiful boy RIP Dukey Yes, he was great in his own quiet, unassuming way. Fooling us all into thinking he was not too bright...... Till the day I covered his poopy house in branches and he pooped in my washing line post hole after shouting at me for a while about not being able to get into the garden bed that was his toilet. Really truly sorry to hear this news Rian, I know how devastating it is to lose a "pet" (I say pet but to us they're one of the family !!) Nigel Thank you Nigel. Agreed, he was my boy. We had long conversations as I live mostly alone and even my lodgers mostly use the house as a place to sleep, not make friends.

But he had your love (even that of this community) and that is more than many an animal has ever had. 100% This is exactly why I felt it comfortable to share and post on the forums I run threads on. Many people I visit, meet, or know have pets, and even snakes, once you get them, are pets, or else you would not keep them. I was these catsβ only human, and they were always under my feet, on my lap or next to me. You all know how Harley fears no welder or grinder, she is always in the garage with me. Thank you all for the support, it really means a lot to me.

Sorry to read about Dukey- may not have been the sharpest tool in the box but was a character all the same.
They have a way of getting under your skin especially the rescue ones.
Best you make extra fuss over Harley- sheβll be missing him.

Doesn't matter whether they're bright or not. Hiro (my last dog) was an angry sociopath, at best described as "aloof and temperamental".
But, with our lass in and out of hospital, and often in bed early he was my only company of an evening when playing catch up for work on the laptop.
Never complained, simply cuddled up on the sofa.
I smoked many a fag plonked on the decking with a brew, tickling his ears as he looked at me as if to say;
"Like I care. Just give me the damn biscuits fatty"
In his later years, being left while we were out, was rewarded with bed cuddles. Which would mean waking up at 4am to him kicking you out of bed, for space, or simply snarling at you.
He was 18" tall, ginger and only had 3 legs.... What's not to be amused by?
As others have said, they ain't pets. They're family. I sold a car to pay off the credit card bill for his vets bills, spleen removed due to cancer... Middle or the night surgery when his back gave out.
It's what you do.

Hi Rian
Really sorry to hear about your loss. It's really hard to say goodbye to a loved one. Our beloved Italian Mastiff passed away last year. He was only a fairly young dog but we have so many great memories. Just his own little things he would do. Like sneezing in your face.... I am sure old DukeY will have left it's own little legacy.
Take care mate
