I'm liking the idea of race support vehicle theme. I'm a bit puzzled by the Italian flag on the tailgate of a French car? Anyway, good luck with the new toy to distract you from the reality of life. I suspect that's the reason many of us have this hobby, I certainly am part of that club. As ever, enjoying reading your inane ramblings.

And yes, distraction indeed.

Temptation alert. Andy offered me some 8' timber planks. Shed anyone? Was going to offer it to Mickey but thought that maybe I should build a garden tool shed under the pine tree in the garden. Looks like the weather is turning too. Harley really did a good tour of the van on Sunday too. Never got a photo but exhaustion saw her settle in the study later. Andy who sold me the VTR wheels and new wheel bolts also has a Berlingo van. He identified that the rear silencer was missing a support strap. I went to look tonight and found this bodge. Kwik Fit telephonic quote was £135.00 fitted. Not impressed, I searched and found a cheaper DIY alternative. Under £40.00 including delivery. Because when you wriggle the tailpipe with your toe around the rear wheel you see part of the problem. I am not going to try weld it up.

Just hope it doesn't have the same stupid design light switch as the '65 plate berlingos, that switches off your headlights completely if you are not careful when going from high to dipped beam. Other than that, the heater controls are awkward, definely a lhd vehicle converted as an afterthought to rhd. Apart from that, very reliable vans.

there's no strap on most psa rear boxes I've seen that are of oem design, only seen straps on stainless and elcheapo units.
those bolts look ideal IF the wheels are late enough.
this one is a phase1 berlingo so a lot simpler electrically than mk2 and certainly 3, for anyone familiar with retro electrics, much less digital control of stuff.

Other than that, the heater controls are awkward, definely a lhd vehicle converted as an afterthought to rhd. Apart from that, very reliable vans. So far so good. I am planning on removing the rear seat, then build a little support on the rear footwell and laying some ply on the floor to create a full length floor. there's no strap on most psa rear boxes I've seen that are of oem design, only seen straps on stainless and elcheapo units. those bolts look ideal IF the wheels are late enough. this one is a phase1 berlingo so a lot simpler electrically than mk2 and certainly 3, for anyone familiar with retro electrics, much less digital control of stuff. Fingers crossed the electrickery behaves No idea yet on the wheels, I do hope they fit though.

Came home to find the postman had dropped off the ISO plugs I had ordered on Saturday, great service. Next trick will be to make it all work together.

Hi there. I know there are some Photoshop champs out there. So if possible. Could I ask for someone or sometwo...., to make the Saxo VTR wheel below gold (quite Lairy) and then fit them to the Berlingo below that. Keep the ride height where it is please as I do not have the budget for lowering right now. If you are really energetic, then do me some white or cream wheels too. As I am sure they could work too. Thank you. Looking forward to what comes out here.

I reckon a nice bright gold with added flake would look awesome. You could spray on the gold then drop some kids silver flake from a height onto the wet paint?

I hate to point this out but that harness 'adaptor' is just a loom extension lead and isn't required, the ignition 12V and permanent 12V are just swapped on the ISO plugs on an early MUX wiring PSA car, you can get round this by re-pinning the OE plug or swapping the red to yellow in the radio harness..

I was just about to reply and say switch the yellow and red wire that are just bullet connectors on your existing loom. Always run into the same problem myself with switched live and perm live being the wrong way round on those connectors.

Maybe not in the direction I am thinking. But I do like the combination.

Gunmetal silver, play it safe.
Gold will look terrible.

Whilst you are looking at the Williams borrow the engine and gearbox... you know it makes sense.... Gold wheels will look good. P.

Why use Clio wheels, when you could use Alpine wheels? I lowered it, removed the rear door handle, smoked the windows and tried to remove some of the car park dents, but got bored.

That looks great, might want to check the tracking though I was trying to make it look like the wheel was turning like the original, but admittedly not the best result. Anyway did a bit more.
