I assume that wasn't new? If you're ever in need of brand new tyres drop me a PM! Cheaper than buying part worn from those scammers.
Van is looking great.

Well....... It seems there is always a surprise up the sleeve of an old car. Brought Prozac in for wheel balancing today where tyres were changed (and I got told it could not be done) Unfortunately the operator who got the job called me 5 minutes afyer the car was pulled on the ramp. Seems it is wanting a new tyre. Never noticed when tyres were changed and certainly not hit a pothole etc Burger !! £60.00 fitted plus £22.50 for balancing the other three. With special adaptor. Anyway. Got to be done. Still no regrets. Car will be working hard over the weekend as well. Later guys. Carry on driving and the bulge would flatten itself?

I don't know if they damaged thentyre when they swopped them from thensteels to the alloys. Funny, they said they could not balance them as they have solid centres, then when I popped in yesterday, the guys that were there, said...... No, we do have the adapter, can do it, easy. They then discovered the bulge. Looks damaged too, but hey..... what do I know? Member of public. Trust it is not yet Marmite for most. I like that - being a bit of a Nascar Fan I probably would anyway but it's damn effective and fun In a way I wanted to stop there, but the theme needed to be completed and also the stickers cover a load of damage, scratches etc..... typical of a 16 year old car.

Bias valve spring arrived yesterday. Signed for delivery...... really? So today I went to the post Office Depot 8 miles from home, 70p for parking and time wasted. At £22.00 for this I suspect the seller is laughing all the way to the bank. I suspect it's a total of £2.00 in there....... Old vs New. Took a while to get it out with Torx screw and WD40 to be negotiated. It was mentioned somewhere that you needed pencil thin 4 inch long fingers with double articulation to remove and fit this spring. I removed the spare wheel to increase access and visibility. The job was not a 5 minute job, though it would be if access was better. Anyway, did a quick test run up to the farm, not sure if it is better, but it felt a bit different..... imagination? Anyway, another job done. Finally, the one sticker I actually liked a lot, turned out to be a paper sticker, so tonight it was removed and all the glue removed with white spirit. Then raided my special sticker file, some that I got from friends around the USA. That's it for today. Pleased for sure.

My turn to visit Katy this weekend. I had some jobs to do for her, mostly gardening and yard maintenance. 9 years after being laid...... they had never been cleaned. Pressure cleaner to the rescue for Katy's front drive and parking area. Driveway cleaned and resanded as well as a repair on a section that was worked on by the gas company, and subsided after their "repairs." Rear garden concrete and paving, walkway etc cleaned up as well. Also planted a butlers sink after embedding some railway sleeper offcuts into the lawn. Yesterday and today Prozac proved itself worthy. After redoing the rear brakes and the bias valve return spring, I had him loaded up last night, but today was a tour de force of overloading. Seven 25kg bags of pea shingle, two 25kg bags of kiln dried sand. 100 litres of topsoil and 50 litres of compost. Add to that some bricks, plants and a few other bits n bobs meant the brakes were really working well. The suspension and drive really settles down. This car works better with a load than it does empty. I continue to be in love with it. Prozac for the Soul indeed. Life is good.

Soon be time to get a larger van, beginning to look like are going to need one! Ttfn Glenn Wait, wait, wait,... He didn´t fold down the rear seats yet. Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh....!! But he did...... well, partially. And it is a great space. More about that soon though. Another reason to really just like the practicality of this little van. The loading lip or edge is low enough to just swing bags of stone and sand straight in. Had it been the company car Focus or a similar hatchback (I do like hatchbacks and smaller cars) it would be a matter of humping the items over the rear sill and out again. Yup, Prozac for the back

HEEEEELLLPPP !!! Needed. Right guys, I had a problem with the Berlingos radio from day one, if you remember. An aftermarket radio had been bodged in, which meant you needed to remove the face of the radio in order to turn off the dash lights, and he same in reverse at night, if you wanted the dash lights to work. I have been offered the radio from a 2001 Peugeot 206 1.4 petrol, photo below. It will come with a lump of the original wiring loom beyond the multi point plug, so hopefully my mate amartin can make some sense of the wiring, which is one of these modern systems that carries messages around and not just current. Yes, I have no clue about CanBus systems Anyway, does anyone know if the radio is interchangeable?? I have done a Google search for 2001 Berlingo radios, and the photos that come up, looks the same as the Peugeot 206 unit. Any advice greatly appreciated. Radio in 206.

I have no idea about this one , or even modern voodoo wiring as I call it (makes my head hurt) but I would assume that it should have a standard iso plug on the loom unless its been chopped out?? (probably talking spheroids but hey!)

You can possible make it 'work' but it isn't going to be compatible with the Berlingo LCD so you'd be operating it blind. It may also beep constantly as it won't find the original car's VIN in the BSI as its not there. That's a full CAN-BUS radio and the Berlingo 1 is MUX wire architecture.
