Hey shadow
What areas are you looking at for a lock up/workspace? I'm currently in the middle of moving to long eaton (and losing my storage in the process) My boss has agreed to store my Capri at work while I get it roadworthy in my spare time but once it's on the road i'm gonna need storage. I'll post back here if I find anything that's not astronomically expensive but it's slim pickings round beeston, chilwell, long eaton etc

Wondered how you guys are getting on finding somewhere. The place I store the MG is no longer tenable (rain coming in through the roof) so am on the look-out for new lodgings. Located in central Notts (Mapperley) but don't mind going a bit further afield.

Good luck guys, rentals are nuts if you actually find owt around our patch. Been looking around Ilkeston,Heanor,Stapleford for some time and when you think you found somewhere, you get told no car activities

propertylink.estatesgazette.com/property-details/6211841-unit-2-humber-works-humber-road-beeston-nottingham-ng9-2etAfter a fair bit of scouting around, this is about the best in terms of cost vs space/facilities on offer. I don't know about anyone else but my budget for workspace is about £100pcm. If there were any painters willing to go in on it then it could be viable as I'm a panel tech/estimator. You would only need a couple of jobs to make enough pocket money to cover the rent, the rest is pocket money for retro goodness! Otherwise it's a case of a dozen guys with similar budgets which isn't a realistic or stable option. But like I said, this is the best thing I have found!

Is that the old Paintology premesis? Wonder if they've moved, always heard good reviews of their work.

Was that WA Hatfields just off central avenue? You could make decent money with a premises and location like that..

I spent ages looking in Long Eaton and ended up with lock up which is half decent but is small so no room to work on car. Littlewood and Co have quite a few lock ups in Stabbo/Long Eaton/Chillwell but around £10 per week
Would be up for shared space if something is around Long Eaton/Stapleford

In my experience you will find a lot of people people who want to rent space but very few who want to commit or pay 'that much' and then you have the issue of shared rental agreements, very few landlords will let shared units and as for inuring your tools or equipment against theft forget that one.
Sorry to be negative but I've been there a few times and in the end I settled for having my own place with just one friend who stores one vehicle.

I’m looking for car storage/ workshop facilities in Nottingham. Anyone know of anything. I’ve tied all of the usual suspects in terms of letting agents but there doesn’t seem to be anything out there.
