	11 months since the last update! Today, after months of checking Gumtree, Facebook, EBay etc I finally got my hands on a set of 18 inch VZ SSZ / Monaro wheels. They come up occasionally but either sold before I got my finger out, or were too far away for me to be bothered even asking about them. These were only 15 minutes away and priced fairly. I think they look a lot better than the aftermarket ones on there just now. Given it left the factory with 17 inch wheels, and these are 18s off a later model I guess I've gone OEM+ Before and after: Now they all need refurbed and I'm thinking of a colour change. I'm thinking a darker shade of grey (see the bad photoshops below). Anyone got any thoughts? The aim is to get close to the charcoal shade used on VE Thunder 19s: Worst damage is this chip. I've found wheel repair kits in the net that include a filler - do they actually work or is it just going to come off when the tyre gets fitted? Any other suggestions for fixing it?

	Best solution to that might be to obtain one more rim and keep that one as the spare. Did those come with five matching wheels from factory or do they have a bs space saver in a spare wheel well that won't hold a proper wheel anyway?

The spare is a steel wheel which is on a hanger under the floor at the back. Although given the huge "boot" it is dead easy just to chuck one in there and strap it down. Which is actually the sensible thing to do if the car is lowered because it is a struggle to get the wheel out from underneath

	Time for the almost annual update. I decided to have a go at using a clay bar on the poorly paint. I've done the bonnet, both wings and both doors so far and I have to say I'm quite impressed with how well the paint has come up. Of course being white it looks the same but the bits I've done feel a whole lot better than they did before. While doing that I managed to knock off the right hand side V8 badge so I thought I'd check the left one to make sure it was okay. While doing that I realised it was chrome and not the correct satin silver. So of to eBay for a couple of NOS satin silver badges. The difference is obvious when you see them side by side. I'd worked out the front end has had paint at some point so I guess the wrong badge got fitted when that was done. So off with the chrome one and on with the satin one: Much better. Other than that a couple of weeks ago Holden auctioned off a load of number plates. I managed to get one that was originally used on one of the VY press cars. Picked them up from auction and then popped along to the nearest DOT office, put it in my name, and then swapped it straight on to the ute. Total time at the DOT office was 5 minutes and it didn't cost me anything!
