Up for sale is my 1985 Mk2 Fiesta Ghia 1.3.
It's done roughly 57k
In 2015 I fitted a lot of new parts consisting of-
New cambelt, tensioner and water pump & alternator belt
New clutch and a low mileage gearbox, also changed the gearbox seals whilst it was out with genuine Ford items
New front gearbox mount
New wheel bearings all round
New brakes all round including front callipers
Full polybush kit all round
New track rod ends
New ball joints
Cv boots
New exhaust
Brand new adjustable Panhard rod
Clean Pepperpots with good tyres
Spax front shocks and springs with brand new rear standard shocks
Brand new Weber carb conversion with manual choke
Rocker cover gasket
The interior is all original and in great condition, sporting the "bow tie" headrests and Ghia spec, rev counter, digital clock and heater controls. No rear seat belts as this is one of the last ones to not require them by law.
The car runs like a dream, very smooth and very quiet. It does require some welding to the rear of both sills and a small patch possibly on the o/s inner wing for the mot.
The bodywork is generally very good, couple of small scabs here and there, the worst being a small hole in the corner of the passenger door. I was using it daily up until the mot ran out last year and it's been sat in my garage ever since. I have pulled it out occasionally to run it up and make sure it's all good which it is.
Being the 1.3 it is quite a rare beast now and I would keep it and get the welding done to use it again but I have too many cars and it needs to go.
The price is £1500, considering all the new parts and how it runs, I feel that's fair.
