Hi Everyone,
I thought it would be nice to create a post about the little green Westfield at my College. I moved up to college in September and I four d out that there was a Westfield sitting in the storage workshop so my being a petrol head, I needed to have a look at it. In the teaching workshop there is only 5 cars that can be worked on and there Ks about 18 students in my group so when there is a task there is always a few students standing around until a car is available to work on and when I was standing around I asked my practical teacher if I could go next door into the storage workshop and work on the Westfield and he said "No" which made me wonder why nobody is allowed to work on it so in my next practical lesson I asked my teacher why nobody is allowed to work on the Westfield and he said "because kids in the past broke the radiator and brake calliper" which is a real shame for a lovely car to be left standing. On the 30th of November 2016 my practical teacher was going into the storage workshop to move a car out for our lesson and I thought I'd be cheeky and ask if I can have a look at the Westfield and he said "because you've worked hard, you can have a look at the Westfield". When I walked into the workshop I saw it standing there and I just stopped and admired it but it was upsetting to see it standing and not out on the open road where it belongs.
Time for the picture I took and hopefully I'll get some more on Monday,
What I'd love to be able to do is get the part that it needs and get the Westfield running again but with my own Spitfire restoration and the cost of Westfield parts it probably won't happen.
Thanks for reading,
Conor
