Slightly hesitant sale of my 940: Good stuff; Mot until 10th July, straight through the last four with just a couple of advisories each time, still using daily for work and school run; Engine running well, clean and tidy engine bay, regular oil changes, though it is due one now; a bit under 211 000 miles; New radiator and Bosch starter motor in the last couple of years; Straight through exhaust, sounds awesome; Body good and solid, very little surface rust only; Lowered by quite a bit, nice stance, spring assistors on the rear because we went on holiday Bad stuff; Cold start device not working, a common fault causing smoke when first starting from cold, get moving and it goes; Idle also set a bit low making starting a bit difficult on cold mornings; Lowered by cut springs, depends how you feel about them; Needs new inner tie rods; Rear tyres are cracked; Interior is worse for wear, drivers seat worn through, rear window winder snapped off, various bits of plastic cracked; I hit the near side wing mirror on a post while reversing and the motor came apart so that doesn't work; I think that's about it. I have had a lot of compliments and praise for this car, Many Thanks

Hi pistonpopper, looking to replace it with a Landrover Discovery or Freelander but its a bit of a tough decision to be honest. I have thought about putting standard springs back in but it just wouldn't be the same....

Cheers Lee4391, I knew it had been on this site before. I've had it over three years now, still going strong 💪

You didn't buy it from me did you? If i remember correctly someone named mike had it for some time.
I'd consider having it back if i didn't have a 2.3 turbo one already, plus the petrols go alot better than the diesels. Those old LTs lumps aren't the most powerful. I remember adjusting the pre boost enrichment on the injection pump to give it a little more torque low down, that helped alot. I've had 2 940s since and this one was always may favourite, always regret selling it.

Yeah I think it was Mike I bought the car from now you mention it, up near Luton.
I just hope I don't regret selling, there is something special about this one.
