re magazine, it's buried somewhere in a 40ft shipping container. I have to unload it in the next few months, I'll try and find it then and put some scans up.

Oofff that is very sweet! Great install and workmanship.
I had a Toledo when I was 16, before I could drive, very rusty, no idea how to fix any of it. Took the seats out and had them in my bedroom for a while for my mates to sit on while we played video games. I'd love another one, especially with a modern power plant like yours.
Will be following with interest...

I've the same issue with my Herald with its planned "power up". I too run Sprint wheels and although I'd happily change them due to their weight, for now they're staying. Plus I still have the funky rear end which necessitates the need for bigger sidewalls. Not quite sure how to get better brakes in a way I like. It needs ventilated ones, definitely. It's got asbestos pads right now and I've made those and Mintexx 1144 get hot enough to fade.

You could do the golf gti vent disc/sierra caliper set up,done that before worked quite well, there use to be a company in Australia called sprint parts who did the original ST tuning disc and calipers but seem to of gone bust, use to be able to wander round scrappies and measure stuff up till elf and safety. What about jigsaw racing?.

For Herald you can use re-drilled Capri (or Citroen) vented discs and Hi-spec alloy Princess 4 pot copies id you want to retain the original vertical links. You could also go up to the Vitesse/GT6 front end and get bigger wheel bearings as well. The discs and pads are bigger than Herald (as you know I'm sure) and with Ferodo DS2500 pads (more fade resistant than M1144 and nearly as much cold bite) have proved just enough to keep my 140ish bhp Vitesse in check. Upgrades from there would be to go vented (same disc choice as above) and space the Girling 16 series caliper to suit. There is a well-proven upgrade for Dolly Toledo that uses Ford Sierra parts developed by Jon Jackson. Some info here www.dolomitesprint.com/brakecon.htmNick

Can personally advocate the TrackerJack brake setup, they're extremely good! Sprintspeed are a UK based, Camberley actually, company that also specialise in Dolomite go faster parts...

Both my cars use Austin 4 pots and I can tell you they don't fit under Sprint wheels unless you space them a lot. The Sierra conversion does fit.

Thanks Fellas, have come across sprint speed before when I was experimenting with Ford R S wheels, they make some really nice stuff, they had a couple of interesting customer builds on their site last time I looked, used to deal with another firm called Sprint Spares late 80s/90s think they were down Rayleigh Essex way, don't know what happened to them, will prob go the TrackerJack route, really neat solution and easy to get new parts for.

I don't particularly like the idea of re-drilling brake discs. The first being that you are weakening the disc, although by how much is certainly open to debate. But the other reason is that there's no chance of a quick brake swap when you're short of time on a Sunday and need the car the next morning. No matter what you do, any replacement needs machining. So far I've managed to make sure any service part on my Herald can be replaced with off the shelf components.
However, I've also tried to find discs which haven't been drilled for studs and they don't exist!

Yes its a bit of a hassle if you don't have a pillar drill at home, never had a herald but did have a couple of vitesses ,the front suspension looks very similar ,could you not bolt them on,seemed to stop ok even with that massively heavy engine up front.

picked these up from a nice fella in Sidcup, should look good with some sticky yokos on them just to mention why the hole I cut out was star shaped,I'm using friction to hold button in place not the original spring clip sprayed tunnel Triumph Jasmine yellow to see if prefer to Honeysuckle loosely fitted in car to check fit, sound deadening glue on, a bit tatty I know but its an early sprint one before they fitted the vinyl gaiter and plastic tunnel tray, think its a bit more Toledoie
