I "failed" mine back in 1997 - a figure of 8 on a drizzly playground with wet leaves scattered over wasn't the best environments for an 18 year old completely new to any forms of motor vehicle. i was in catch 22 situation that the only practising i could do would have been off road or illegal and i didn't want to screw up my freshly restored 57 vespa and the cbt was on proper bikes with pedal gear change etc that i couldn't get the hang of. In hindsight i should have started out with a little moped in the local park. any way still enjoying the various scootering photos past and present in this thread. I’ve quite a few blanks to fill here so bare with me, still nowhere near finished but had a bit of time on this between setting up the new business. As we last saw the loop on the frame is beyond repair so another was acquired, the one I have had been cut a little too much for this project.   And here’s the new loop  Old loop cut off and here’s what your left with  New loop sat in place  |

A brief interlude, this cropped up on Facebook market place and couldn’t turn it down.
French Elestart PX125 all there apart from the engine, cane with some spares abc accessories, MOT’d for £350.
Luckily I have an engine to slot in it 😎

It’s straight and solid but paint is rough with some rust issues. Put an engine in it now so it’s on it’s wheels. Repainting the hubs and rims with a new set of tyres, carb is gonna get a good clean too. Then a little Pinstriping to make it stand out from the crowd 😉 |
