Hi All, might be at RCS '05 - not sure yet as heading for completion (hence financial suicide) on our house deal this month so will be skint for 25yrs! Was looking at selling the Polo soon and getting a Lupo sport for the g/f but my Golf is still retro-ish so would come in that.

You can count me in, ill be there with the chevette keeping the 70s/80s rally slag dream alive! it would be ace to get it on the stand but if there are too many people to go on the stand we should meet up outside the gate at a set time then we can all park together in the car park! we could even put a banner up round our cars!

Depending on numbers I may see if we can get a strip of display area to ourselves,.. We had 8-9 squeezed into the stand last time so if we can double that number we can justify 2 stand spaces,.. so just have to see how the numbers go,..

Marina and Derby you gonna be on the stand,.. Hopefully SuperSport1987 will come up with you as well... I'l be there..such a massive trip thats the problem hopefully i'll have my car by then so i'll probably convoy up with DG Motors (haha a Ford repping a VW Garage) but be sure to save me a spot on the RR stand... that is unless one of the Fiesta clubs are up there (more than doubtful) in which case it'll my duty to add a much needed squirt of retro into the mix.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Santa Pod isnt that far from me. It looks like the Retro Rides stand will be quite varried.

Hi Stu - I was beginning to wonder you had got to - long time no posts Don't sell the Polo - would be cool to have an Inari silver Polo/Derby line up Hiya - not been on here much of late, have a read now and again but not much time to post as busy with work and house buying. Don't want to sell the Polo really, it's just run in at 56k miles but it depends if my g/f needs a better motorway cruiser for work in the near future. Could fit a 5-speed 'box I suppose...

Hmm... Mk1 G40... ;D Not as easy a conversion as I thought it might be - the nose of the MK1 Polos are a bit shorter and interferes with the charger - so some cutting is required. Also ideally you want servo'd brakes which means relocating the cylinder to the L/H side of the car (as the engines in the way of where the servo wants to be) Which means fabricating/bodging a 'twisty' rod (technical term) Along side the usual problems of converting a carbed car to fuel injection makes for a less than straight forward job - easier than fitting in a VR6 though ;D
