Hi All,
This isn't mine, advertising for a work colleague whose father is giving up driving (the only reason the car is for sale). Words below provided by owner. I don't really want to put his telephone number on an open forum, so please PM for contact details.
1980 AUSTIN MORRIS MAXI 1750 AUTOMATIC. 41,200 MILES FROM NEW. £ 4,000
A unique opportunity to acquire a 1980 classic car which has been cared for with preservation
in mind. It is the last ‘brightwork’ version prior to the Mk 2 version that had all black plastic
body trim. Originally purchased with, and still retaining, all top specification extras including
original, fully functioning automatic transmission which is far superior to the standard,
vague, cable-operated manual gearbox version.
Also featured are:-
# All lower outer bodywork replaced at 30,000miles in June, 2013, using new, original
pressings. Major professional renovation included new o/s & n/s main sills, both front
wings, front valence and both rear wing arches at a cost of £4,000.
# Converted to Hydrolastic all round at 28,359miles eliminating future suspension problems.
# Still possesses the original ‘top of the range’ extras available at the time, including
velour upholstery and Smiths electric clock. Original radio still fitted and in working order,
but requires a new aerial and re-tuning.
# Stainless-steel exhaust silencer system fitted at 29,750 miles. A new, unused ‘auto box’
exhaust front down pipe is included in sale.
plus:-
# Reconditioned brake master cylinder, new AP Lockheed rear brake shoes and bonded front brake pads just fitted; bedding-in mileage only since.
# Newly issued MOT certificate.
# The original set of four Hydragas suspension units. These have been stored pending
confirmation of a reliable and recommended re-gassing procedure and can easily be
refitted after overhaul if desired; Hydragas and Hydrolastic units are interchangeable.
# Fitted with caravan/trailer towing hitch with wired socket.
Tried to add pictures by dropping them at the bottom, not done that before. No idea if it takes a while for them to appear? I will try adding them again tomorrow
