An idea. Is it possible to create two polls on this thread?
One for now till next Tuesday that asks the question. Borrani72 or StrongComputer? Another for after next Tuesday Borrani72 or StrongComputer.
Both questions are assessing the likelihood of an Alpine based car vs an MG//Morris from 1930 with a 1981mm wheelbase as per page 72 of blue forum thread (that I have saved). One question based on information now. One question based on argument placed in a week.

It's you that claims to have proven something. If you believe that you have such proof, then just show us. Let's see evidence to back-up your claims. And why not grant us all permission to use your copyright images to assess what you have posted so far?

And why not grant us all permission to use your copyright images to assess what you have posted so far? Your work should stand or fall on its own merits. You don’t need me. My suggestion is to get all your stuff together and present a robust argument based on facts and your own work. I have not sprung a showdown on you. You have a week to get prepared. The bad news for everyone is that you stalked me through posts a decade old. My identity is known and I don’t have a problem with that. You on the other hand are anonymous. At the end of all this, you will pop up with another identity posting as per before. Next week needs to play out, but am confident that you will be looking very foolish. But it won’t matter. A lost battle and a new ID fresh to carry on beguiling people who do not have the time to undertake proper research and are therefore relying on ‘experts’ from forums such as this to enlighten them. Are you going to invite your mates from the blue forum to enjoy my denouement via a link?

Oh dear, not sure if I'm in retro-rides or an episode of judge judy. It's a grainy photo from 50 years ago of a one-off car, please keep things in perspective.

This is supposed to be fun, at least I'm finding it fun trying to find out what it is. Its clear (to me) that an Alpine is likley, but its also possible that its similarities are little more than a coincidence dispite all the hard work put in. It would be nice to think that any evidence would be freely shared with the community but it seems its got too political for that. There would be no point in me answering a poll. I don't know what it is.

Isn’t it fascinating, yet rather disappointing, how people with obvious intelligence in terms of identifying car styling cues and sizing and design and modelling techniques can bicker like 5 year olds on the internet.

I fixed the photo (more expert level photoshopping, clearly there was a very low level fog that day) The 3 guys were clearly wearing Nike Air Max in the original photo

Interesting how the composition of the photo loses nothing without the car being there, isn’t it? I bet if matey looking down wasn’t cropped out it would still be sensible... It does make me wonder if *someone* went ‘this pic is supposed to show how congested London is but there’s a big empty space front of shot, stick another motor in there will you’ and the first thing to hand was cut and pasted in, but the first thing to hand was a concept drawing...

Interesting thought, and takes me back to thinking that the car may be a 1/1 styling model. The 2 ladys at the front now look like part of the picture without the car there, and don't really look like they were walking around the car in the 'original' pic. If you look closley at the driver of the blue car, there seems to be a suggestion of a collar of a shirt, but his/her face is a total blur.

Trying to work out whats going on with the doors. Shape of the windows suggests they can't open and door appears, to me, to carry on into the roof, either gull wing style or GT40 style.

The GT40 doors work because of the curved rear edge of the roof cut-out. The only option I can see that could work is gullwings.

This door thing is a perfect macrocosm of why this thing has rumbled on so long. There is enough info to make some informed conjecture, but not enough to be definitive, so it is possible to pick a hill to die on that is opposite to someone else's hill. In the meantime ... as promised, terribad PS skills

I have a copy of the book! £2.40 free postage yay. This thread has got me interested in the history of transport and surprised me how long ago people were building custom cars. Don’t worry I’m not going to overtake anyone else on the superior knowledge. There’s some nice shots of cool buses too like a double decker greyhound and a Tokyo tram. My home town Walsall gets a few mentions too in terms of trolley buses. Any way I digress, main thing I wanted to say was that up to now I haven’t spotted a registration on the bonnet. I guess this makes it less likely to be a concept car? Not that it helps much but ends in a 3. Also I’ve realised the shut line to the left of the lady is a bonnet line for a front flip bonnet rather than a door line. I’m sure it’s all old ground but ground I’ve not trodden on before.
