Quick question.....
Are the mops graded for hardness by their colour?
It it better to start with a harder mop then work your way towards the softer and then lambs wool???
They are, but the pad colour changes between manufacturers.
Wool is super aggressive and cuts very quickly.
You would always start with the least aggressive combination of polish and pad, if that doesn't get to where you want, then step up the polish.
If that still doesn't work, then the lowest cut polish again on a firmer pad.
Carry on wor king up only if needed.
Heavier cutting combos will usually leave behind their own marks and hazing so you'd work back down through the polish and pads to get the refined finish you want.
When I machine a car it takes ato least 2 days for the polishing stages alone. It's not quick to do it properly
