I'm having to part with this lovely, comfy Citroen Xantia in order to make way for my other project. This is the top of the range late spec Xantia estate equipped with the 110hp Diesel Engine and Hydractive 3 Self levelling suspension setup. A great car - sadly i need to focus on my other car and don't need to run two at the same time.... specs as follows
Colour: Green
Year: 1999
MOT: Till June 2017
Interior: Leather
Mileage: 222k (Genuine that is!)
Good bits
Suspension still works well - Spheres changed about 18 months ago at the back
Returns 50+mpg on the road!
Runs like a champ - recently serviced with belts, oils, filters and brakes done.
Sailed through its last MOT, only changed two front tyres since
Spacious - its a xantia estate?
6 speaker sound system with 6cd changer in the boot (Clarion)
All electrics work - the windows are sometimes a bit temperamental (sometimes i need to open the driver's side door to get the windows to open and close!!!)
Cool car? Probably the most idiosyncratic estate of its generation, whilst still being a good all rounder - in fact i believe this maybe the most underatted estate car of its generation...
Bad bits
Bodywork needs work - scratches on the rear bumper, NS wing has a small dent, Dent on rear quarter panel.. Otherwise paintwork is still good
Remote CL does not work - needs a new circuit board for the key, about £20 on Ebay - in addition the bootlid does not lock itself with CL!!
Rev counter does not work - not a bother or MOT fail...
There is a slight leak coming from the N/s rear suspension sphere- It has been ongoing for a while but doesn't affect the running of the suspension in anyway..
Little service history although i know the previous two owners who looked after it rather well mechanically.. (I do have two previous MOTs plus the original Citroen paperwork for the stereo code, manual...)
That's pretty much it - i want to see it on the road for many years to come and hope it can be a great hauler for someone - If interested give me a buzz on 07732928263 or pm me. Viewing recommended.
P.S I might the old girl an oil change within the next 500 miles or so as i still drive this daily..
