After mentioning a couple of South Wales shows a bit too late to be of use I thought I'd get this one in plenty early.
This Classic Race Day has been running in various formats for a good number of years but last years meet was astoundingly good, it was a special event commemorating 60 years since the last F1 race was held there, this race was recreated using some of the actual cars. It was such a good show that it was almost Goodwood Festival of Speed Lite.
Autumn Classic
2015 Autumn Classics review
Castle Combe put on a lot of good events on a pretty regular basis but this show has undoubtedly become the feather in their cap. There's so much to see you'll be lost for choice, do you watch the warriors on the track, wander around the club stands, peruse the autojumble or trade stands or have a beer or a burger while drooling over the many £Millions of cars that surround you? Or perhaps you'll be one of those doing battle on the track? The public car park is usually just as crammed full of interesting retro & classic offerings.
As with any such day the weather is huge determining factor in its success, if it's dry then all is good but if the weather is atrocious then the day is ruined.
Some pics / clips from last years event:-

e.g. some of the drool inducing metal inside the 'Danco Dream Tent';
So, plenty of notice on this one to pencil into the diary but it's probably best holding off until the last few days and seeing what the weather forecast is before deciding whether to make the trek.
Last year we were lucky with the weather but with it being October and the UK, we're just as likely to have a day of heavy thunderstorms but fingers crossed for another good one!
