Citroen CX? I think it's much more exotic. It's a Citroen SM. The other one is a Simca indeed

Why have the french seemingly dumped a lot of cars in rivers etc? Or is it a case they have dredged rivers and found the cars there and here in the uk they havent been as many rivers dredged? I find this topic strangely interesting

I think its two the reverse actually. I think we dredged our canals loads (pre internet days) and ours are generally shallower and narrower and further from roads. Also scale, France is huge and therefore lots of places to dump stolen cars without being anywhere near population. Not really like that on our small island so much. I too found it intriguing hence all my photos are French stuff. Maybe I should search for British stuff next not that I'm running out of French tin yet lol

It's a shame they all seem to land roof first, probably wipes out any chance of them surviving

The 914 makes me sad, doesn't look as though it had been submerged as long as the others. Wasn't there a Bugatti pulled out of the water in France fairly recently?

Considering they have been in water, they haven't rusted too bad. The chemist in me thinks that's because there is less oxygen availability down there?
