Ive read different things about the p76 estate, some say there was at least 3 built, others say 7, but only 1 survives which is a great shame because I'm sure they would have sold in quite big numbers in Australia at least. The MG gnat was indeed a one off built for racing, but BL did have ideas for an MG Mini, but it got stopped because of the direct competition with the cooper. I remember seeing a drawing of one in a book, it had the Elf/Hornet front, and normal Mini rear. Found this pic of one which I'm sure is a replica of the prototype, could be wrong tho.  They also built this prototype based on a Mini, the ado34 2 seater coupe.  My idea of an MG Mini would be the Elf/Hornet front end, but without the side grills, grafted onto the front of one of these, a broardspeed GT  If theyd have done that id probably sell most of my important body parts for one. Photoshop anyone? |

seeing that the "leyland" theme has already been stretched in many directions including austin rover , I don't feel too bad adding the uber cool 827 vitesse. I am biased though as I used to own one exactly the same as this but sadly have no pics of mine!

So, Leyland cars are not cool and according to this forum Jaguars are not cool, Peugeot 106's are not much chop.....
That must mean that I have no taste, no idea about nice cars, and that one of my dream cars is a heap of sh$%....
Well that stinks doesn't it?
