Very VERY unlikey on this forum. Bump. I want this so much.. What I meant by that hyperbole is that "society" sets a value for something. So, since so few people have heard of Lada, and a good portion of those who have dislike the brand, then sadly awesome runnabouts like this get shunted! This, imo, is superior to many retro "people" cars. "society" doesn't really frequent this website, it's moderately specialist..  PS: not being harsh, just telling it how it is. I Also really still want this, (don't) stop bumping it so I have to look at it  |

As it currently stands, it's an underpriced car. People who look to buy these non-restoration classics, typically, are your comfy middle class people with ideas of investment, or perhaps nostalgia, and won't even touch a spanner in its life. If that "sterotype" picks up interest in something, then prices will increase a lot. That's what is happening with the XJS. People keep buying them now just to "own". Quite a bunch of them, the moment something goes wrong ... straight to the Jag dealer / mechanics, or some XJS expert to fix it for them. So, the 2101 to "most people" is worthless, and since there is a small following, it does have some value (so it's not completely rock bottom) but it's not very high either. I'm not being harsh to the car; I'm calling out society's poor taste. EDIT: The point of all that ^ was to just prove I'm not a dimwit and what I said wasn't exactly wrong. That's all.  (Not saying you are but I explained myself badly). |
