Not so manu updates. Still waiting for head gasket to arrive. Engine block has been put together. Pistons on, crancshaft in. and engine in as well. Gearbox connected. Propshaft connected. Starter motor in. Generator in. Changed the steering shaft rubber ring. And waterpump in as well Thats all I can add on the engine before head comes on.

Got an engine headgasket today. So it did not laid down for long With gasket installed ir was time to move to Simons exhaust Since I have towing hook on my car, I need to modify bracket that holds rear silencer And doesnt ir look gorgeous?

Today I went thru car registration office. First of all VIN check. And then thru MOT. No advises. Perfect.

Yesterday was time to adjust valve clearance again. Since car has been running for a while. So valve cover off. 0.40 and 0.45 out for go no go adjustment After adjustment engine was running way more silent and no tapping noise. Next thing was to adjust ignition timing, since I was not happy how the car was running. First I found a great article on the internet. Volvo Ignition 101Since I was disassembling the engine, my shaft for the distributor was off the desired position. So moved this anti clockwise a bit and changed ignition points as well. After the new timing engine feels to be more happy, but I am not satisfied with idle still. It sounds uneven. So will see what could be done there.

Was on my way home and standing in the queue needle was creeping on its way up. Found good article on this type of temperature indicators. Www.sw-em.com/temperature_gauge_notes.htmSo will need to check what is actual temp versus reading on the dash.
