As its raining i thought this thread would be timed perfectly...
Unfortunately for the last few days my poor old Escort has had to stand in the rain and as usual has water coming into the passenger footwell. I thought there may be a hole in the tray but, it turns out its from the windscreen after taking the glove box out in the rain.
My question to anyone who has owned or, owns one of these is... have you ever found a way to stop the tray area filling with water and resting there??
Any home brew ideas anyone has employed like a big cover to guide water away from the battery and further down the inside of the bonnet?
I took the battery off the other day and cleaned it up so the channels were clean (they were anyway really) and used a mastic gun on the "Aftermarket screw holes" to hold the stereo amp in place. Still no joy on keeping it dry though.
Heres some pics from mine: (you can just about see where the water rests between the battery and the wing panel)
Cheers,
Chris
