Its been a while (the engine swap in the celica is taking more time than i thought), but I've finally managed to stop lurking for a while. I made a very big mistake the other day and bought Classic and Sports Car Mag... I want a matt/primered slammed porsche 356 Coupe! ;D Problem is they are rather over my limited budget.... So do you know if anyone makes a kit car replica? I've seen millions of spiders but no coupes... HELP! This is the culprit: Seen Here: paulrussell.com/index.htm?cfs/classics_for_sale.htm

I tried to buy one on Ebay recently. It was a white coupe with black details - very track style. The seller told me they made very few of the kits. He wanted £12k and it was very very cool.
So yes, there are a few. But I think few = 10 or so.

Martin and Walker made the kit that the car I was looking at was built from. It was really cool. Can't find a pic anywhere on Google though.

I don't like replicas, there's something very pretentious about them. I'd have a Skoda Estelle or Rapid over a Porsche Speedster anyday.

A garage where I used to work had an estelle based speedster with a lancia twin cam stuck in the back was an awesome car do drive, and you couldn't tell it from the real thing at all.
