Thought I'd throw some of my pictures up here as I haven't really put a thread up about this car anywhere.
So, story goes I bought this in 2009 of a friend who wanted rid for cheap, so thought why the hell not. It wasn't boosting at the time and drove from Kent to Leeds with no turbo. Once we got back, turned out the actuator arm clip had rusted through and popped off. Win.
For the next 4/5 years it sometimes had MOT and sometimes didn't, lived in various gardens, garages etc. and was generally unloved.
So 2014-ish after having to buy a diesel for work, decided I wanted something else to run around in for fun and turned my attention to the Bluebird. My plan with everything is to not do anything I can't reverse at some point in the future if they turn out to be worth millions.
Recently, she has been treated to a new steering rack to fix a leak, the rad is currently getting re-cored and all 4 brake calipers are being replaced for refurbished ones.
So as she stands;
1987 T72 Nissan Bluebird ZX Turbo - 70k miles
CA18ET
S13 T25 refurbished turbo
Bailey DV (just for laughs more than anything)
Saab 9-3 Intercooler
Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller
Compomotive FH Wheels
I have currently got a set of S13 coilovers to tone down the rally mode stance. Fronts fit great but the rears need chopping/welding etc. so am hunting down a spare set of rear hubs so as not to ruin mine.
No plans for more power/engine swaps/paint jobs etc. just want to get her mechanically sound and enjoy it. I enjoy the little bit of attention I do get, as they are quite rare now.
Here is one picture from a few years ago stashed round the back of some shops looking very pink.
And how she looks now.
And a bonus picture from yesterday with the front coilovers fitted!
Thanks.
