Forgot to update this as been so busy with the car.
It's all sorted,thanks for the input folks.
I pulled the sump off and then using plenty of pictures of a4 and passat 1.8t lumps which are mounted at the same angle determined where the turbo return should be. So we blanked off the original sump return.
Then welded a 4mm alloy plate to the front top corner on the same side. Then it was a matter of drilling holes tapping 2 of them and away we go.
I measured the oil pick up and that of an a4 sump I'd got and it worked out fine.
Issue is the oil dipstick level which needs altering.
Basically when at the correct max level the dipstick just registers oil on the very end.
So this needs addressing. But enough time for that after its first outing.
Took the car testing on Thursday night. Highlighted a couple of bits.some we knew about already one was a bit of a surprise.
But overall impressed.
I'll update the build thread as soon as my feet touch the floor.
