You're not my Dad reincarnated are you? He had a penchant for old outboards. Seagulls by the dozen. Always liked them though, helped me win my first Menai Straits raft race! His favourite, although got knows why, was a 6.5hp Perkins. Huge thing and couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. Not that it ever really had the chance, it was always in bits!

Are you putting a grate in this? Burning coal type fuels? With the air inlet at the bottom it would naturally prefer them over wood. Might be worthwhile adding a small permanently open air inlet or another top inlet. However, the flue is tiny so it may not be happy like that.See how it goes with the air inlet, you may need to close it down alot or fit a bigger flue.

I am building a grate and I intended to burn scrap wood like broken pallets etc. I have a 4" ID pipe i could replace the current flue with?

Would be better, yes. Wood likes to get its air from above and is happier sat on a bed of its own ash. Coal based fuels like to get their air from below and needs an open grate. Your building a multifuel stove more suited to coal but plan to burn wood. don't get me wrong, put fuel and fire in it and stuff will burn, just pointing out a few design considerations. I fit solid fuel appliances for a living

Its been a while. My depression was pretty bad last winter and spring but I currently have a grip on things. So A mate rang "You know I'm getting divorced? Well I have a car transporter trailer. Want it for 300? Needs a bit of tidying" I said yes and this got dropped off.

Then it's first, mildly illegal use. Mudguards ordered. And lights are repaired and functioning. Will fit better rear load legs and a jockey wheel next

To be fair it's in better nick than it looks. My main issue is my welder is playing up, yet again, and I cant repair it, so i cant move on with several jobs incl this thing!

I sold off loads of bits. Most of the cash went back into the house but I kept enough to buy this. IMG_20190904_183254 by quickrack, on Flickr Last bits to get it working are in the post. Cant wait to try it. GrumpyNortherner recommended it and I cant find a single poor review anywhere! In separate news i found a Ford Model A axle and the owner gave it to me for free, he was that glad to find someone who wasn't going to weigh it in. IMG_20190906_154845 by quickrack, on Flickr A buddy was at the NEC earlier this year and picked me up a new fuel cap for the estate. NOS Ford! I was very impressed at the price. IMG_20190921_022731 by quickrack, on Flickr IMG_20190921_022805 by quickrack, on Flickr Bought a box of sockets at the market for a fiver. Got a lovely few useful bits out of it. IMG_20190921_140330 by quickrack, on Flickr IMG_20190921_140324 by quickrack, on Flickr Last sunday I worked, I passed a market and stopped for a quick browse. Found this decent Reel and the cable tie gun thing for €8 IMG_20190929_190226_513 by quickrack, on Flickr More, as and when!
