Brought the kids to a local inland harbour as we can fish, explore and there is a playground. It had a nice view. 20210430_170456 by quickrack, on Flickr
In other news I do a bit of buying and selling in diecast toys. A regular buyer had a bag of toys off me a while back and then suffered a personal tragedy. As things have slowly righted themselves with him we got chatting about the models. He had no idea if he wanted them or what he might pay or....well you get the idea. I asked if he had a anvil (he has a gigantic collection of industrial antiquities and such). So we traded. Its not perfect but its ideal for me!
We are a family of animal lovers here and we were hit hard a while back losing much loved cats and dog. We have gotten a couple of cats from a shelter since then, so when she asked me last week if we had space for another I said "yes". "Now he is a grumpy old Tom that is recently snipped but was fighting and is scarred, wounded and not pretty! He doesn't like to be petted and will swipe at you!" she said, really selling him!! So. Meet "Mister". I hope he ends up my garage cat but we will see. I have never met an animal with more of an "I don't give a f**K", attitude. It's hilarious. Reminds me of Greebo TM.
