Thanks for the help so far guys, heres a few more photos of it.        Is this the start of a new pistonpopper thread, "12 R/C cars, all without controllers, in a year"?  Ha haaaaaaaaaa... georgeb you're a laugh, i'm still recovering from last years effort lol. |

looking at the one on ebay its definitely a 27 mhz transmitter... I would be going on ebay and picking up a cheap tx and see if it works, you either need one that takes crystals, or is fixed at 27.095 mHz.
In fact, thinking about it, I might have a set of 27 mHz radio gear in the attic...

Weird frequency, UK ground based stuff is 27MHz, 35MHz is aircraft only, ground vehicle prohibited, don't know 49..
Any old Tx controller Futaba, Tamya, etc will have removable xtal's, so open it up and the installed xtal (almost certainly soldered in), will have the frequency etched on the side, so just buy a matching Tx one and install in the controller and go. The Futaba, Tamya, etc all have reverse switches on all the channels so ok in that respect.
I wonder if 49MHz is AM though, probably won't work with 27MHz FM controllers..
Looks nice though. Does it take AA's or 7.2v packs? Because upgrading to NiMh will give loads more beans!
