Hey all,
The last week I've been out in my Escort mk3 and i've noticed occasionally (with the clutch down mainly) that the break travel seems to be longer than usual which makes it feels like its not going to stop.
I've tried to make it do it on quite roads and can't... it just seems like every so often you come to a set of lights and the breaks seems really soft. I thought it might be me but, it just happened and comes as a bit of a surprise when it does it.
I checked the fluid level the other day and it seemed normal (I thought maybe a Flexi hose might be going and i'd notice a drop). The Break pedal also seems like it returns ok most of the time. If its not its hard to tell.
Also a few months ago we bled all the breaks and they have been good since then.
Bit worried as i'm traveling from Manchester to Birmingham in it tomorrow... I have another car in Stoke but, i'm worried to go that far in it now.
ANY help or ideas would be grateful! Will be taking it to the garage in the morning too!!
cheers,
Chris
