The best way to describe my car is to think of your Granddad on performance enhancing drugs. Its old and a bit frail, but he sure can surprise the young lads when the flag drops!

I bought the car about 3 years ago and spent the last two years repairing rust and fitting numerous MX5 engines to it. Its now pretty sorted, but it has its good and bad points.
Good:
- High compression MX5 1.8 engine using a 99 BP4W head (best flow) and 03 bottom end to keep it un-machined but roughly 10.1 CR
- 5 speed MX5 gearbox with XTD stage 4 clutch
- 1000rr ITB's on a custom manifold and 3D printed velocity stacks
- Tuned by myself on Megasquirt 2 extra (if you have never used it before ill show you how it works, but it shouldnt need touched if you just want to drive the car)
- Ford capri brakes up front, standard drums at the rear
- Custom prop which will take all the power the 1.8 will throw at it
- recently had 4 new track rod ends + tracking
- MK3 golf coilovers
- Brand new mx5 radiator 1 week ago
- Mk1 golf arches on the rear and fiber glass wings on the front
- its really good fun
- Water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges
Bad points:
- There is still some rust, but nothing major.
- Could do with new brake pads
- Front strut tops knock (bmw m3 adjustables)
- rear end rubs on big dips on the road
- Windscreen leaks in when it rains
- Solid engine mounts and a welded diff (could be a good point, depends what your into)
- Oil temp gauge needs the sensor fitted
- people will always say that its a ford cortina / they used to go to school in one
