Nice car in the best colour but really not keen on all that wood. I also think the stock wheels and grille are the best look.i had a 2.5 20 years ago. Same colour standard spec. Beautiful. When I moved the trim from the old dash to the new, I discovered that it was dated 3 years before my car was even built! The burl wood was one of the reasons I loved this car. I'd looked at another euro that had the burl, but that sale feel through because of the seller not being honest. I didn't expect I'd find another, or if I did, it would be zebrano. For being larger, and having thinner tires, the ceginus wheels ride rather well. Stock wheels just felt a little too small and plain to me, so I opted for something alternative that was still period appropriate! I've always been a fan of the Astral Silver that the 2.5s also came in. Since this car is in dire need of a repaint, I've been torn between going Astral or sticking with smoke silver. I do plan to bring in a 2.5 some day, but I figured I'd go for the 199 Blauschwarz on that one, since that's the same color my 2.6 was. |

Well, nothing is without its faults! Today the car died and the tach pegged at 6000rpm; most likely the EZL (ICU) is the culprit.  So, looks like I'll be needing a new one. I can get the car to start and run if I cool the EZL, but once it gets heat soaked it gives up the ghost and then no more spark. This recent heat we've been having has likely just done the original unit in, so I'm on the hunt for a replacement. Also still looking for a European-spec fuel pump relay. Thinking about also taking the time to replace the coil and the crank position sensor; cap and rotor are both about a year old, but I'll inspect them later today. |
