I think I’m done on the cactus. (once I’ve washed it) Front wheels fitted and citroen centre caps fit too! A quick drive about one mile long over a mix of roads and over speed bumps on the local high street. Slight splope over speed bump but no splopes getting off the drive or any rubbing on steering full locks. I reckon ride height is about the same as the elgrand was. It feels nice and comfortable to drive too. Arches popped on... Black plastics cleaned with a diluted mix of auto finesse verso, which is a general purpose strong cleaner / degreaser which removes existing protection products from areas you use it... Then time to go around the black plastics with revive plastic trim renovator and protection wax... Rear door (right of photo) treated, front door not treated... Waiting 20 minutes for it to cure before I can buff off any excess... I’ll give the car a general wash and wax another day, maybe tomorrow, I thought it would feel too much to do all in one go. Pleased with how it’s gone.

Really like this, always liked these, they're so french. Interesting french like 70s & 80s citroens. I still want one.

Turned out well this mate, was worried the 14's may look a bit underwheeled but looks spot on.

Now the panel is black it ties everything in really well. The whole effect of what you done makes my mind think its looking at a retro. Its like ive been brain-washed. I soooo need to put 14s on my cube.

I washed and polished the cactus this morning and went for a drive to get some nice photos in the sun. I HATE CARS!!! One of the tyres has gone flat, assuming it’s the same wheel that had a flat tyre on prior to the refurb I guess the only potential cause is a mis shapen wheel seeing as all surfaces are freshly blasted and powder coated?! And I’ve checked the photos since i got home and all of the photos are blurred too.

I'd have them water-bath tested to find the leak. More likely a dickey tyre.

How do your insurance company view the mods? Mine get the calculator out for the extra cost if you just change wheels

How flat did it go? I had a faulty valve do this, but tyre just suddenly went 100% flat I’m unsure what PSI was in it when the tire was refitted after refurb on Thursday, but let’s guess at 35. It still had air in on initial fitment, looked a bit flat when I was washing it this morning and when I refilled the air this afternoon it was 10PSI when I connected the pump up. Still looked okay after the ten mile drive back but guess it’s going down over time rather than distance so will have a look in the morning.

How do your insurance company view the mods? Mine get the calculator out for the extra cost if you just change wheels Whenever I get insurance i always declare aftermarket wheels and lowered suspension so the company I'm with is always modifications friendly. That way I never really see the cost difference because I don’t do quotes with mods and standard to compare.

I do the same. I say that every car I have has aftermarket alloys and/or suspension mods at the outset, as even if it hasn't at the time I bought it, it will have!
