Anyone know what the fatest commonly available 14" tyre is? I think I'm looking for a 255/75x14 if such a beasty exists. I suspect the wheel in quetion was designed to run with a big ol Bias Belt tyre like a Pos-a-Traction Torqe-Twister N50x14 or something, and while I'd love such funky boots they haven't made them in 25 years and the nearest repro stuff is from the US only and $200 each kind of money...
So Seth has suggested I look at soft-roader tyres. Vitara Wideboy?
Trip to Honest Alfies Discount Used Tyres to see whats in the "WTF?" pile out back may be in order....

cheers, I already have a pair of them actually. I have found P245/60R14 - now is the rolling radius on that greater or lesser than the 225/70? lawksalordy, you can still get N50x14 (which comes out as a 345/50x14) I don't need to ask, I can't afford...

245/60R14's will be R=324.8mm (12 7/8") C=2040.78mm 225/70R14's will be R=335.3mm (13 1/8" ) C=2106.75mm
Difference is 65mm or 3.13%

difference appears to be 1/4" on the diameter? Meh.
Can't find anyone who sells them yet... But I know the size exists.

8.5J but the N50 is recommended for anything from a 8" up to a 12" rim.
