after the broadspeed xjc project has been sold i found a hole in my workshop that needed to be filled ,,,, so after a few monthes the shop is filled again , with not one , not 2 , not 3 , not 4 , but 5 cars ....... 2 mini's , 1 mini clubman estate , and 2 xjc's , the mini's are from her indoors , and the xjc's are mine ,, all need resto , one mini is ready for paint , and the other 2 need a ground up resto , the 2 coupe's well just as any coupe , need everything doing to them , from floors , sills , and basicaly everything else ,,, both coupe's are 6 cilinder cars , but hey ,, only 8000 6 cilinder coupe's where made ,and everyone knows they rust like hell , so i bet only 1/3 are left , and even less are still on the road

one of the cars will be original , the other is basicaly a parts donor , and in bad shape , but i was thinking ,, to still get it back on the road , ( with the aid of some sheetmetal ...... A LOT OF IT ) and turn it into a custom xjc , widebody , with a lot of modern bits , like leather sports seats , bigger wheels ( oz futura 17 inch ) 6 cilinder , with fuel injection ( or webers ) and a lot of custom touches a bit like this one with these wheels

The first deep dishy ones. those are tho most rares of rare wheels , for a jaguar ,, in 1976 broadspeed made a few sets of these for the xjc broadspeed , but they changed to 19 inch speedline wheels in 1977 so these wheels only where used one race , they are magnesium GKN wheels ,, 16 inch big , and 13 inch wide i have a full set of these , they where also used on the new avengers xjc

yes the lister cars where nice , i am going in that direction with the one car , the other will be restored original what most people do not know is that lister only build 3 xj coupe's , the rest where xjs's from mild to wild ,, the last few weeks i have tracked down 2 of the 3 original lister xjc's , but they are all difrent , nothing is the same one was a widebody , the other a narrow body one with a 7 liter engine , and the other with a 3.6 aj6 engine origialy lister used compomotive wheels , or lateron the lister torm wheels ( OZ mito ) but to find them is just as the broadspeed wheels , a task that will take years and i have found that the oz futura can be redrilled , to 5x120,65 , and these wheels can be made as wide as i want ,, so basicaly i need a bmw set of these , to redril , with some wide lips 8 and 10 inch wide , with a low offset

yes correct , the broadspeed sold last year , so i didn't have anything new to add
but i can still build one if i want , i got the wheels , and bodykit in the attic , so nothing is lost ,
i was looking for a new challenge , and found one , as these 2 coupe's are a lot of work , ,, the guy i got them of told me he bought them to restore , but one of them was so bodged up by the previouse owner , stuffed full of filler , that the shell is so unsafe ,,
i am stripping the shell now , but i do not dare to hang it in a rotissery , as i fear it will distort , i ll keep it on it's wheels until i get some strength back in it ,

Nice project. Looks like you're making some good progress. Hopefully there aren't anymore bodges to uncover. What ere the holes in the wings underneat the indicators? did it have fog lights there?

it needs new floors , new sills ,bootfloor , and a whole lot more so long way to go ,,,, and yes they where all filled with fiberglass and filler , this one was modified by some bodyshop , rear wheel arches where modified , and yes they where planning to put fog lights in the front wings , or they where air intakes , ? no clue , but they will go and will be filled again , just as the wheel arches , they will become standard again , as this on will be restored original , the other one will be modified , to widebody , but will still look fairly original , just a bit wider ,

ok well out with the old rusty tinworms , and ...... in with the new metal i made some panels for the lower quarter and i played around with the front fenders ,, as a freind asked me to make a front spoiler for his broadspeed 1976 version ,,, you can buy the 77 version , but not the 76 version , so i ll be making one for him ,,, so no these wheels ,,,, will not go onto the car ,

floor out , sills out ,, and more and more rust is comming out ,,, rear structural box, connected to the rear axle ,, if this car would have pulled off with this holding the axle ,, it would not have gone very far so i made a new one ,,
